New prices on the Espevær - Eidesvik ferry route

From July 1, the Espevær-Eidesvik boat route will be included in the zone system and priced in the same way as Skyss's buses in Western Norway, as well as light rail and some other boat services in Western Norway.

The change is politically determined.

For adults, a 30-day season ticket will cost NOK 755 for a zone and includes travel by bus in the same zone. A single ticket for adults will cost NOK 40 for a zone and also includes travel by bus in the same zone. The boat route belongs to zone C.

Sale of tickets on board:
Only single and 24-hour tickets are now sold on board.

Express card: No changes. Single tickets and 24-hour tickets sold on board can be stored on a Skysskort if the traveler has such a card. The traveler must keep the receipt if the traveler is to use the ticket also on the bus.

Travel money on Skysskort: Travelers who have travel money on their Skysskort can use it as before.

Favorite: No change, but if some travelers have used Favorite on the boat in the past, the ticket agent must help the customer to register the new ticket as Favorite.

Other ways to buy a ticket
If the traveler wants to buy a season ticket, the traveler must do this in the app Skyss Billett or in the online store at skyss.no. The traveler can also buy single tickets by SMS.

Important information about the app Skyss billett and Skyss webshop
The Espevær - Eidesvik boat route will from July 1 be removed from the selection for buying a ticket for Båt i Hordaland. Travelers who inquire will be informed that from now on they must buy a bus ticket and choose from and to zone C. Alternatively, travelers can search for a berth from Espevær boat quay to Eidesvik boat quay (or vice versa). A ticket will then be prepared for zone C.
