GulenSkyss AS
GulenSkyss was started as a sole proprietorship in 1971 under the name Per Vold Rederi. In 2002 the company was changed to a limited liability company and the new name was Gulen Skyssbåtservice AS. In connection with route expansion and reorganization of the shipping company, the company changed its name in 2014 to GulenSkyss AS.
GulenSkyss is now a modern shipping company that operates speedboats, ferries and ambulance boats on the West Coast of Norway.
In December 2024, Florø Skyssbåt merged with Gulen Skyss
Florø Skyssbåt AS was founded in 2003 by Frode Valvik and Paal Skorpen, but the company's history dates back to the 1950s.
The shipping company is an important player in Kinn municipality with its extensive coastline and many island communities.
After the merger, Florø Skyssbåt, with its vessels and employees, part of GulenSkyss The shipping company thereby strengthens its position as an important player in passenger transport in Western Norway.
