GulenSkyss awarded contract for local boat routes in Vestland

GulenSkyss has today signed a contract with Skyss for the boat routes Espevær–Eidesvik, Austevoll, Reksteren–Våge–Os and Hellesøy–Hernar. The contract starts on January 1, 2028 and has a duration of 15 years.

We thank Skyss for their trust and look forward to continuing to operate the Espevær–Eidesvik and Hellesøy–Hernar routes, which we have had since 2014. At the same time, we look forward to embarking on the new routes in Austevoll and Reksteren–Våge–Os, and offering safe and good service to all travelers.

The contract has a value of up to 1 billion over 15 years, and is an important foundation for GulenSkyss its activities, and in line with the growth strategy of the shipping company. The contract is also the first new contract after InfraRed Capital Partners took over ownership of the shipping company earlier this year.

GulenSkyss currently operates express boats and ferries from Bømlo in the south to Måløy in the north, with a modern fleet of 14 vessels and 53 crew members on board. For GulenSkyss This is a strategically important contract, and we look forward to starting up and providing a good service to the local communities. 

The following vessels will operate the routes:

• Espevær–Eidesvik: M/S Rose Ekspress

• Hellesøy–Hernar: M/S Øyrosa 

• Austevoll: M/S Tjelden 

• Reksteren–Våge–Os: M/S Skorpefjord
